The Dilley Pro Bono Project provides legal services to mothers and children seeking asylum in the United States but detained in the South Texas Family Residential Center in Dilley, Texas. We often find that mental health conditions and severe trauma prevent women from expressing their asylum claims effectively. We may be able to use the network in other ways as well, such as referring a client with serious mental health needs to a provider upon her release.
